Nabil Karoui

Born in Bizerte in 1963, Nabil Karoui is the President and CEO of Maghrebian TV channel Nessma, and Managing Director of Karoui & Karoui Group, specialized in advertising and communications.

After he studied Business Management at Sup de Co in Marseille, he joins Xerox Corporation, before returning to Tunis in the early 1990s to work with German group Henkel. He then becomes Sales Manager for Canal Horizon, Tunisian subsidiary of French film and television studio and distributor Canal Plus.

In 1996, Nabil Karoui and his brother Ghazi found KNRG and become the exclusive representatives of British agency Saatchi & Saatchi in Tunisia, and soon open offices in Algeria and Morocco.

The group, composed of six entities specialized in advertising, entertainment, interactive, music, outdoor and production, is then re-branded and joined under the Karoui & Karoui World banner.

The two brothers launch Nessma TV (« fresh air » in Arabic) in 2006, which is broadcast on Arabsat et Nilesat satellites and aimed at Maghrebian audiences. Media giants Quinta Communications et Mediaset then join the group in 2008.

Nabil Karoui is married and has 2 children.
