Tunisian Salafists want an Islamic country

Whilst Islamists are celebrating Ennahda’s success, the reaction of Tunisia’s Salafists has been mixed, with most Salafists opposing the party.

Anis Rezgui, a Salafist and a young company manager, did not vote for Ennahda, a party which he strongly opposes.

“Ennahda only won because of other parties’ mistakes! I know so many people who voted for Ennahda just because they hated other parties”.

He said that Ennahda is famous for its doublespeak, citing that “They’re contradicting themselves constantly in an attempt to appear suitable for everyone”.

Anis also maintained that “They played with the emotions of Tunisians, trying to influence them using religion. They can’t apply Islam and keep their ‘moderate’ promises at the same time. It’s a big lie!”

When discussing the topic, Anis was very upset, holding that “They’re using God, as if they’re the Chosen People on Earth who will save Tunisians from other ‘evil’ parties”, whilst they are actually “Only serving their own interest”.

Anis’ father used to be a member of Ennahda a long time ago. “Rached Ghanouchi left the country when my dad and other Ennahda followers spent years in jail. That’s not patriotism!”

A few Salafists, however, did vote for Ennahda despite their dislike of the party’s program and policies.

Marwa Seddik, a 23-year-old college graduate, voted for Ennahda, believing that “It’s the least of all evils”.

“At least they’re using Islam, and aren’t completely secular”. She stated that people should adapt to religious rules, and not the other way around.

Marwa thought that Ennahda is being selective about Islamic law, which should not be the case.

“To be honest, I’m not at all optimistic about the future. It’s sad that Tunisia will not become an Islamic country”.

Hisham Bennour, a 26-years-old college student, voted for Ennahda to prevent the rest of the “infidel politicians” from ruling his country.

“I don’t agree with Ghanouchi’s party, because he’s trying to change the rules of God. I’d rather that Ennahda wins, though, and not the other parties. They would harm us even more”.

Its rather unfortunate many of us tend to think what Taliban did in Afgan and how the Saudi’s restrict women in their country are Islamic governance, which in fact had nothing to do with Islam and have no place in Islam. On the other hand a sizable societies in Tunisia had been completely secularized and taken away from Islam by the systems of Ben Ali. For Ennahda the priority is to bring them back to Islam and making them to like Islam and its systems rather than to forcing them to practice certain islamic systems. If the salafis expect Ennahda to beat up women for not wearing head scarf, i’m sorry they won’t get that from Ennahda. It’s the Muslim Brotherhood of Tunisia, and be rest assured insha Allah you have done the right thing if you have voted them. They will not do anything against Islam, they will insha Allah show the world how beautiful and how effective Islam is.

I am sick of Muslim lies. You know that the stupidity of the Taliban and Saudi Arabia is based in Islam. Quran is so unclear and Hadiths are so controversial Muslims can’t agree to the correct law of God, but in reality Saudi Arabia is probably the most literal interpretation. Sharia law is nothing but laws of 7th century people. Anyone with a brain understands that. Unfortunately, Muslims give up their brains to become Muslims, because only the brainless could believe such stupid claims. If God would sent a prophet, he probably would not send a pedophile, sexist, who needed to rise in the world by marrying a woman 20 years older than him, then after she dies and he’s powerful marries 11 women, then has sex slaves. Also slaves and sex slaves are legal in Quran. All the while, completely ignoring the whole world and come to existence after 6000 years of human civilization. Something illogical about God’s plan, but a Muslim does not understand logic just what he wants to believe so he could continue enjoying his stupid fantasies.

Here comes “skander” abusing our prophet beyond any norms of decent debate. This is exactly how Ben Ali, Gaddafi and Mubarak made the case to keep the people away from Islam. They are long gone, but their remnants are still seem to be at work. Skander, your leaders are desposed, and your turn is over. People have clearly rejected you as evil. You just keep your breath, and see what real Islam is.
