Tunisians from all backgrounds have come to remember the day, one year ago, that a frustrated young man, Mohammed Bouazizi, took his life, and started a movement that changed the world…

People gather to commemorate the death of Mohammed Bouazizi - The fruit vendor who lit himself on fire in protest of poor economic conditions and police mistreatment, sparking the popular uprising that eventually managed to topple former Tunisian President Ben Ali's regime

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Amnesty International was also present at the commemoratory event in Sidi Bouzid
