Last year, I sent an email to Tunisialive and requested information on how I could join the team. When I introduced myself, I mentioned that in addition to my teaching responsiblities, I was also working as a translator for an international NGO. A few minutes later, I received a short reply. To my surprise, the person who answered me was looking for information on how he could join our translation team!

Hello, I am currently doing my MA in English Linguistics and also temporarily working as an interpreter for a British researcher, can I apply for your translation team?

So Tunisian! Unprofessional and sad of course but also funny.
After all, they saw an opportunity and jumped at it, we can all respect that side I guess :)

      Hi there,

I’m a freelance Tunisian journalist-I worked for the BBC for over 20 years until 2011. I live in London and would like to write for you on events related to Tunisia and the Arab world post uprisings.
Right now, there’s a festival of Arab women film-makers. As a Journalist, I’ve managed to see some interesting films and would be able to see some more next week. There are always events & activites in London related to North Africa & the Arab world which would be interesting to report.
I have been writing about my country and the Arab world for some time now especially since events of 2011. If you would like to find out more about me, please feel free to google my full name.

I look forward to hearing from you,

      Thank you

      Mounira Chaieb

      Hi there ,
i’m a Tunisian journalist and i work for ” Express Fm “. I have a good sports knowledge mainly european football and other sports like tennis, volleyball, handball and basketball … As you all know there’s always events and lot of things to talk about like interviews and statistiques. It’s my admiration and i could call it ” my hobby “.
I have been writing some stuff about football as you know it’s transfer season and all the rumours are getting bigger now … So i’m hoping to join your team especially if i’m not mistaken there’s no segment about sports, i can deliver it and that’s a guarantee.
      Thank you .
