The website of Ennahda, Tunisia’s largest political party, was hacked this morning by a Tunisian group claiming affiliation with the international cyber activist collective, Anonymous.

The hacktivists wrote a message on www.nahdha.org saying that the party has done nothing for the Tunisian people so far, and called it to leave. “As long as there is no justice, there will be no peace, Nahdha This is you our message to you! Degage (leave)! Your time is over! You have done nothing to the Tunisian people! out Now!,” they wrote.

According to one anonymous administrator of the hacktivist group, the Ennahda party has done nothing for Tunisia or the Tunisian revolution, “except bringing Ghoneim,” a controversial Islamist cleric from Egypt who came to speak in Tunisia. “Ennahda did not do anything at all. Where are the 400,000 jobs? Where are the killers  and snipers?  Where are all the election promises?,” he asked.

The administrator also claimed that the moderate Islamist party did not take any actions against the salafist attacks. “Where is the guy who dropped the Tunisian flag at Manouba university? We wont stop! as they do not do justice,” he threatened.

The representative also declared that secret archives of Ennahda will be published soon if Ennahda do not fulfill its promises. “We have access to their secret files and we will publish them when the right moment comes,” he declared.

Ennahda has said that the hacked site is not their official site, which can be found at www.ennahdha.tn.

The Ennahda party claimed victory in Tunisia’s elections, the first vote in the country following the popular uprisings of the Arab Spring.

  1. You could definitely see your enthusiasm within the work you write. The arena hopes for more passionate writers like you who aren’t afraid to mention how they believe. Always follow your heart.

The problems with having an unorganized organisation that is open to pretty much everyone … it ends up firing in all directions, including their own supporters!

  3. Assayeda says:

Ennahdha does not really care about the web site, it is just for the looks (c’est pour la frime), it would take forever to teach its supporters [how] to click. They are still 1500 years behind. They use the word of mouth (de bouche à Oreille). They own the mosques though!

    • peace says:

Dear Assayeda, Do you not believe in democracy. Or do you believe the results were invalid. They are the largest party by miles and with their partners in government form the clear undeniable majority. So your insults above must be directed to most Tunisians. Do you hold them in such contempt.

      • Assayeda says:

        Dear Peace,
If you tell me how you perceive Democracy, I will be glad tell you if I believe….
There is no insult to anyone, and surely not to the Tunisian people I love. I only stated facts: People, who want to go back 1500 years in history, must be honest with them, and live like 1500 ago.
They do not understand the fantastic times we live in, the era of the Internet, the iPhone, the satellites, the international space station, the exploration of the large cosmos, like planets in other suns (stars), and galaxies. If they want to look backward, they are free to do so (the mosques are for that), but they should not prevent, often violently (as that happened today on the Avenue Bourguiba in Tunis), the others from looking forward, towards the future, and living in peace (is not that your name?) with the whole Humanity.

What you understand of Islam and Annahda is completely wrong. To know the things straight forward you need to come out of the western mind set, you are within.

  4. Martin says:

Please! This information is wrong! The recent cyber attacks on Et-tahrir and En-Nahda have nothing, I repeat, absolutly NOTHING to do with the collective called “anonymous”.

    • peace says:

it is a splinter of local Tunisians doing it but to the same effect. It is a shame because many people respected anonymous when they were fighting big business and corrupt polititcians. This demeans them because the Tunisian regime is displaying a fair degree of moderation and won an election quite clearly.

  5. Ahmad says:

Nahda has done nothing? PDP and Tajdid and all the secular opposition parties that cry tears now would not be able to do it better. Or even more important, they only appeal to a westernized elite living in the bigger cities. These people lost their dominant position with the fall of Ben Ali, that’s why they make such a noise day in day out and literally hate Nahda. But are also annoyed by CPR and Ettakatol and because in their eyes they betray their ideals while sleeping in bad with the devil (nahda).
