On May 15, Nagma Mohamed Mallick was appointed as the Indian Ambassador to Tunisia. After serving a long career with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Mallick currently acts as the Deputy Chief of Mission for the Indian embassy in Bangkok.

With almost fifty years of economic and political ties, the Indian and Tunisian governments have been working to continue their bilateral cooperation. As both countries look to increase their global prominence, the ties between the two countries will become increasingly important.
