The 17th session of the Tunisian-Moroccan High Joint Committee began on Friday.

Mosaique FM reported that the meetings will focus on a variety of issue areas, including higher education, scientific research, and consular affairs.

According to Mosaique FM, Hamadi Jebali, the Prime Minister of Tunisia, arrived in Morocco on Thursday June 14, accompanied by a number of government ministers, including the Minister of Justice Noureddine Bhiri and the Foreign Minister Rafik Abdessalem.

The economic relationship between the two states has increased in importance in recent years.

According to the official website of the Moroccan government, the trade volume between Tunisia and Morocco has reached 467.8 million dirhams. The site reported that there are currently 19 Tunisian companies operating in Morocco, dealing in food services and packaging, and 23 Moroccan companies in Tunisia focusing on industry and agriculture.

However, the partnership extends beyond the economic sphere. On July 15, Morocco, Tunisia, and the United States are hosting four-day meeting of the “Education University Partnership Days of Entrepreneurship and Innovation” to bolster the engineering sector and improve entrepreneurial skills among youth.
