Opposition politicians meet on January 19 (Photo credit: Nidaa Tounes Webpage)

Members of Tunisia’s opposition parties met at the headquarters of the Popular Front coalition this afternoon and called for a general strike to protest the assassination of opposition leader Chokri Belaid.

The Popular Front, together with representatives from the newly formed “Alliance for Tunisia,” also proposed suspending opposition membership in the National Constituent Assembly (NCA), organizing a national funeral for “martyr” Belaid, and calling on the government to resign, according to Issam Chebbi, an NCA member affiliated with Al Joumhouri party.

Criminal minds, assassins 7hashashines, drug cartels gunners of central and south america, trained in the murderous and cowardly ways of the thugs of Karachi, Peshawar, Kandahar and Mumbai, lumpen unemployable scum of the earth, rejects unfit to join the industrial proletariat, the farm-workers or the precariat of the country, fatherless and motherless incestuous unscrupulous creeps risings like unsightly rats out of the filth of gutters and sewers and the moskitos and gnats of stagnant waters of Gambetta and Soub5khet Sedjoumi, a plague of biblical proportion rendered possible by the popular surrender of a religion to anachronistic neanderthals of the dark ages. A government that is in synch with such thugs but differs only in degrees is in charge! My condolences to Tunisia for the loss of a lawyer who, under the previous Ben Ali regime, went to court many times to defend the rights of Islamists to political freedom. It is ironic that they now have turned around and Killed him. “Idha anta akramtal kareema malaktahou wa in anta akramtal laeema tamarrada”
