The Ministry of Tourism have released a new video aimed at enticing new visitors to visit Tunisia and support the country’s struggling tourism industry.
In a break from the norm, the video avoids images of the beach and resort locations that have come to typify Tunisian holidays for many, instead focusing on some of the country’s rich cultural heritage, such as the Roman remains at Dougga, the green woodlands of the north and the mountains and canyons of the south.
Accompanying the sweeping panoramas is Tunisian singer, Sabri Mesbah playing one of the songs made famous by his father, Slah Mesba, ‘Ya om essouaed Somr, are tunes el khadhra.’
Originally playing solo, Mesbah is gradually joined by other musicians from iconic locations throughout the country.
We don’t know about you, but we’re really impressed.
